In 19th Aug 09 canon had announced a new compact printer The Selphy ES40. The price of this printer is an about 150$, The photo printer has included a voice guidance system that can talk with user when printing photos processing. It's a precisely measures just 8.9 by 8.9 by 5.4 inches.
The review of this type of canon printer :
- use a dye sublimation printing system which requires special paper and ink
- produce prints at up to 4 x 6 inches
- produce a print in around 55 seconds
- The sells packs that contain both the ink and the paper, costing about $20 for 50 prints for a per print cost of about 40 cent
- Canon The Selphy ES40 can also use special silver and gold ink cartridges. It’s very useful when produce a clip art elements or a silver borders
Support is available from SD Cards, MemoryStick cards, and CF cards. Direct Printing from camera is also support by Pictbridge. You can also add a Bluetooth adapter (50$) that allows you print from cell phones and other Bluetooth devices.
